Important notice
Terra Nova University is globally accredited by the WCI (World Certification Institute) an international reference authority established to recognise professional skills, competencies and practices that reflect the best professional skills, based on globally accepted best practices, whose mission coincides with our educational objectives. It is not accredited by CHEA or any other US regional agency. While maintaining a high educational rigour, Terra Nova University stands as an institution for adults; therefore, it pursues flexibility which is a key element in the field of educational services for senior students.
Terra Nova University cannot activate or follow any formal accreditation standards that are not suitable for committed students (executives, entrepreneurs, professionals, managers) who already have a position and responsibility in the world of work. In fact, most accreditation agencies adopt and follow processes and standards designed for young students. Generic criteria that, in our opinion, have outlived their usefulness in the global era and are in direct conflict with the mission of adult education institutions such as Terra Nova University, which is to offer non-formal, flexible, accessible, dynamic and high-quality education programs geared toward professional skill certification.
Formal academic qualifications must be verified and authenticated through intricate and complex recognition processes. This is even more daunting when seeking employment opportunities abroad. A Terra Nova University degree is a global certification of competence that allows people to be recognized on the basis of the actual skills and experience gained over the years, rather than on the adherence to a default government standard. However, for the sake of ethical transparency, please note that some authorities or international colleges require degrees from universities that have government accreditation or, in the case of the United States, accreditation from CHEA or related agencies.
Terra Nova University Post Graduate School complies with international standards; however, each country in the world has its own specific framework and it would be impossible to equate an academic standard to all countries. Therefore, it should be kept in mind that the recognition of a Terra Nova University degree is discretionary. Our university is an institution for established professionals, managers and entrepreneurs who, in most cases, do not need accredited degrees, but rather professional titles that further certify their skills and expertise. For this reason, Terra Nova University has no government accreditation, but limited and private international certifications.
