The Doctor of Professional Studies (DPS) is a program aimed at experienced professionals, managers, entrepreneurs and consultants, which focuses on their professional growth and is based on the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPS) system. If you want to enroll in a degree program without having to study subjects that you already know, capitalizing on your working experience and your professional skills, the DPS is the perfect choice to graduate in a faster and cheaper way.

The DPS program consists in the autonomous realization of a Project Work, in which the candidate demonstrates specific competencies in his/her field of professional expertise. All disciplines are available, since the program is focused on the candidate’s professional context, field of activity and area of interest.

The Doctor of Professional Studies is targeted at advanced practitioners that already hold a business or management relevant position, successfully performing in their working and social environment. The goal is to foster personal and professional growth, highlighting professionalism and demonstrating analytical and critical thinking abilities. Therefore, the DPS is not a qualification aimed at acquiring new technical skills, but rather a doctorate for those who wish, through the realization of a specific research project, to enhance their professional practice and reputation and to certify their competencies internationally.

Thanks to the flexibility of the program, which does not require any campus or class attendance, candidates can choose the field of study that best matches their work experience among more than 200 disciplines available at Terra Nova University. The Project Work can be a technical, scientific or business essay, or even an academic thesis. It must have a minimum length of at least 90/100 pages and must be completed within 18 months of the enrollment, whereas there is no minimum time for completion.
